CSCS 530 - Project #2 Description --------------------------------- In this project (an individual project) you will take one of the group products from project #1 (not your own!) and a) make a copy, run it as described, and report your results b) make some change(s) to the program and run additional experiments and report on those. The change can be either to try to make the program produce the originally described behavior that the group-authors were trying to replicate, or if they succeeded in that, adding some new feature or other change that you think will introduce some new, interesting dynamics. Documentation of the program (conceptual and implementation), how to run it, and what experiments you ran and observations made will be important. Thus document the program and keep good notes. In particular, the grade will be based only slightly on what the model actually does. More important will be your justification for the approach you tried, how you programmed and documented it, both for implementation and for others to use and modify. Also important is the notes you keep as you implemented your first ideas, ran experiments, then added/changed things, etc. The writeup should be less than 10 pages. Due: 8 March 2006.
