The Academic Business Consortium
The Academic Business Consortium (ABC) is a group consisting of CSCS faculty and scientists, managers and executives from firms located in southeast Michigan who share a joint interest in developing their understanding of complex systems. Most members of the ABC use computer simulations or mathematical models in their work.
The ABC holds periodic meetings which allow members to get to know each other and share research, methodologies, and findings. Meetings are hosted by CSCS or other members of the consortium. In addition to faculty and researchers from the University of Michigan, ABC meetings have included participants from the following companies: Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Visteon, Dow Chemical, Dow Corning, ERIM and Motorola, among others. Ford and GM have each hosted meetings in the past.
Upcoming ABC Events
CSCS is planning an ABC meeting this spring. Information about the meeting will be posted here and sent to our mailing list. To join the list or for more information about the consortium, please contact us at cscs@umich.edu or (734) 763-3301.
