CSCS Wireless
There is a wireless router located in the open lab (4472 Randall). If you would like
access to this router, please send a message to cscs.admins@umich.edu which includes
the MAC address of your wireless card.
If you do not know how to determine the MAC address of your wireless card, follow
these instructions in Windows:
1. Click start->run
2. In the box type "cmd" and press enter
3. This will open a command prompt. At the command prompt type:
ipconfig /all
4. Find the line that says "Physical Address" (also known as MAC address).
This should look something like 00-0B-DB-6E-ED-16.
NOTE: If your computer has multiple ethernet adapters (e.g., wireless card
and wired ethernet card), then you need to find the MAC address for the
wireless card.
5. Send the MAC address in your e-mail to cscs.admins@umich.edu requesting to
access the wireless.
6. After we receive the MAC address, we will e-mail you the SSID and 128-bit wireless key.
